I bought this tool exactly three months ago. and loved using it until this past weekend. All of a sudden I can not get the chuck to tighten. I have removed the chuck mounting screw and re-set it, but still cannot get the chuck to tighten. I have really like using this tool. It makes easy work out of what used to be very difficult tasks (concrete, masonry, stone, etc.) It’s a shame I have to send it to a service center.

I purchased this in March 2013 and am very glad. I have a couple 3/8″ corded drills that I have had forever. The Skil 1/2″ really works fast and easy and was very reasonably priced. Skil was a name I remembered from childhood when I actually through that all circular saws were called Skil instead of circular saws. God Bless
Great drill

I bought this drill to work on a new deck that I was building. The deck if 20X 20 so I had a lot of screws to put in . The drill preformed great it is not to heavy and gave no problems at all. I would recommend it to anyone no matter their skill level.

I bought this drill for a specific job and have been very satisfied with it’s performance. Keep in mind that at this price point you don’t get all the whistles and bells but it’s up to the tasks you would ask of a 1/2″ drill.
burned after only a few uses.

I bought this SKIL drill about 7 years ago and used it less than one hour. The motor smoked while trying to go thru concrete. I had to finish with my 20 year old 3/8 drill. Not a SKIL. What happened to the quality?
