Durable drill

Once I recieved my drill I read over the instructions and began charging one of the batteries. The first thing I noticed was something I had never seen before, a "damage" indicator. It lets you know if the battery is damaged so it takes the guess work out of reasons why the battery wouldn't be charging. In a short time the indicator said it was ready to use. My first project was to hang a couple of fire extinguishers I had sitting around because all I had was a heavy cord drill. The screws went in with ease. The drill is very lightweight, quiet and yet powerful. This is a great addition to my power tool collection. And don't forget you don't have to wait for the battery to charge, because it comes with a spare!

This is a great drill

This drill works really well and fast. It has a brushless motor which causes it to be able to run for a really long time. It is light weight and relatively compact so it fits into tight corners which is helpful when trying to fix things around the house. It runs for a long time . It uses 2 Lithium ion batteries which are included in the box. It also comes with a charger. Overall, it's a great drill for a house owner to have to be able to fix things and do simple building projects.

So easy to use

I am deathly afraid of power tools of any kind so me using a drill was a surpise to me and everyone else. I was so afraid to use it, but it was easier to use than I expected. The drill bits from were easy to find and purchase for drilling (It only comes with the screwdriver bit) but the bits aren't expensive, and I just needed to hang curtain rods so it wasn't major (boyfriend went overboard and bought lots). Two batteries are awesome. I heard the drill going for a while in back when they were fixing the gutters. Now we don't have to borrow the neighbor's anymore. Recharging is easy and doesn't take very long. Neighbor is a construction worker and he loves it, he didn't want to give it back. I'd say that is a positive recommendation for it in my book any day.

Every carpenter I have seen at the renovation at my home had this brand. The grips felt good in my hand giving me a good grip on the drill. Really enjoy this drill. Light, strong, and very user friendly. Excellent tool. Well made. Very powerful. The batteries last long between charges. It is driven by a brushless motor. Very smooth and efficient.Great drill. I use this drill constantly in the winter with roto brushes when tuning race skis. The two included batteries allows for continual use. Good power and speed.
The power control is excellent. It can carefully and slowly rotate with precision or drill away at high speed. I used the drill to build furniture, drill holes in walls, etc. Came with 2 batteries and a nice charger that shows when a battery is full. The LED built into the drill body is pretty bright. Definitely adequate to see what you are drilling even in total darkness. Adds a nice additional amount of light even when working in daylight that helps in shadows.
Over all I am very pleased with the drill. More than enough power to get the job done for household stuff. Battery lasts for a long time. I charge it after using I for a dozen little jobs.Easy to operate and get the job done. I highly recommended this product

Easy to use and plenty of power

I am always nervous about limited torque in a cordless drill. This one has plenty of torque and was really easy to see up and charge. The unit is lightweight and sturdy. I also appreciate how quickly it chatges.

Great Improvement

I used to use corded Porter Cable products years ago and they never failed me.
I am now upgrading my power tools to the recent line of 20v Porter Cable.
This driver is by far much better than expected and so far I'm going on 3 weeks on a single charge, (20V 4Ah battery).

I HAVE HAD MY DRILL ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW EXCELLENT TOOL TO HAVE ANYWAY I WAS ON A ROOF LAST WEEKEND ABOUT 15 FEET IN THE AIR MY DRILL FELL OUT OF MY BAG LANDING ON CONCRETE DRIVEWAY IM THINKING TIME TO GO BUY A NEW DRILL DRIVER. ONCE I GOT DOWN I LOOKED THE DRILL OVER NO BREAKS AND IT STILL WORKS TODAY EXCELLENT PRODUCT I WILL CONTINUE BUYING PORTER CABLE

Good drill for the diy

I have several porter cable drills and this one is just as good in performance. The battery that comes with it is smaller than the other drills I have but it is brushless and seems to have more power. The 2 speed and torque settings are good and the keyless check works well. The battery life is good. The only thing I would like to have on it is a battery level indicator. Great product.
