Another handy tool
Rating: 5
Finished up another home remodel project with this tool. It's compact takes on all drilling challenges up to the chuck capacity. Like all the Bosch tools it's power packed and you can always count on them to deliver. Have several of the compact 12v tools not a one disappoints. And the fact they all use the same battery is awesome!! Go Bosch.

Compact size with more than enough power!
Rating: 5
I bought this compact drill for my work. Small size with enough power to finish HVAC job easier and quicker. Battery charges fast. It will be interesting to try one with hammer drill function. For intensiveness of the work, most our power tools are not going to be last got couple years, so 3 year Warranty on tool and 2 year on battery will be plenty to cover.

Perfect drill for cabinet shop.
Rating: 5
After 40 years using all sorts of drills in my cabinet shop, I bought this Bosch PS31B two years ago. It is the perfect drill for a custom wood shop. It is small and fits nicely in your hands. The clutch is accurate even with very light settings for things like hinges, door handles etc, yet powerful enough to drill large holes in tough wood like oak and maple. The batteries last and are fast to charge. Two speeds are handy to have as well. About the only improvement needed is a method to hold extra bits in the handle. This is the perfect drill for cabinet shop, also electrician, appliance repair and so on. Highly recommend this drill.

Durable and Light Weight
Rating: 5
Purchased this little 12V drill for a specific commercial project. Needed to drill over 1,000 holes (5/16" diameter) through 14 gauge steel, overhead at 9' high. (I didn't want to use a full size cordless drill, as operator fatigue and workspace limitations were big issues). The PS31 performed the job flawlessly! It had enough power and decent run time between charges. I was so impressed, I just purchased a 3 tool set (#CLPK32-120) that has the drill, an impact driver and reciprocating saw.

Good Drill
Rating: 5
I bought the PS41-2A last year to go along with my old corded Bosch drill because I need the impact feature. My cordless 3/8s drill has served me well for 20 years but since I already had the two batteries with my impactor I thought it was just dumb not to have the PS31-Bn to go along with it. I'm very pleased with it as well. As a lot of my work is installing cabinetry, the small size is perfect to have in the tool belt. Batteries last forever and plenty of power for 90% of drilling. Will be looking to upgrade to brushless at some point needless to say.

Totally pleased
Rating: 5
Small size was my primary goal and the 12 volt PS31 drill is perfect.  I've gotten along with my old power drills for at least 30 years, so the new features of the PS31 are like skipping a couple of generations.  I stayed away from battery powered tools before now because I didn't like the large size of the battery pack hanging off the bottom.  The PS31 is smaller than all my old power drills and way handier.  It is so user friendly, I felt safe in helping my eight year old granddaughter use it on her science project.  She was thrilled with her success. I am so pleased with the PS31 that I have now purchased a Bosch PS60BN 12-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Pocket Reciprocating Saw.  The fact that the saw uses the same battery and the quality of the drill are what motivated my purchase. I was a little confused by the Bosch tool registration web page, but apparently picked the right drill model number. Great tool.

Compact but powerful
Rating: 5
I already have a bunch of 18v Bosch cordless tools, but the 18v drill is a bit heavy for odd jobs around the house. This little one gets into smaller spaces and is powerful enough for all but the biggest jobs. For those I am keeping the 18v drill. I got it with a kit, CLPK22-120AL, which included the drill, the PS41 impact driver, a L-BOXX 1 with inserts for both, a charger, and 2 BAT414 batteries, the new 2.0 AH ones. A huge bargain, especially since the kit comes with an extra L-BOXX 1A for small parts. The drill works great with my twist drills, up to 1/2 inch (the chuck is 3/8 and the larger bit has a 3/8 shank). It goes through 2x4 and plywood with no problems. Not quite enough torque for spade bits, but the impact driver handles that just fine.

Perfect size
Rating: 5
I've been out of the cordless drill market for several years. When I remodeled my kitchen I needed something for hanging drywall, cabinets and securing the counter tops. After looking at several of the new Lithium Ion drills, I really liked the feel and features of the Bosch. It is compact enough to get into the tight corners of the base cabinets to secure the counter top, and hanging wall cabinets, won't tire your arm out like bigger / heavier drills. This is by far the most compact and best fitting drill I looked at.

Light and strong, but drains the battery fast
Rating: 4
It's really light and comfortable, especially in tight places, and has a lot of torque for such a small drill. But there are noticeable drawbacks: the battery drains pretty fast, the speed switch is somewhat clumsy (sometimes you think that you switched the speed, but you actually didn't), the chuck's plastic is too hard and slippery. The charger is specified as 30 min charger, but it actually takes about an hour to charge fully drained battery. Also, for such a price it would be good to include a few accessories (bits etc).  I have had the drill for a month now, so cannot comment on reliability at this moment.

Great for light use
Rating: 3
We have several of this drill in our workplace. Very compact and light drill. Handy that it comes with 2 battery and charger. However, we use it very heavily on a daily basis and several of the drill died after only 5-6 months. Seems like the motor died. However, Bosch have it repaired under warranty. So, I am still wondering if this drill is for heavy use or not.

Great drill except
Rating: 5
Bought my drill just less than 2yrs ago. Been a great drill until 1 day used it in hammer mode and now its stuck in hammer mode no matter where you set to. Dewalt is sending a label for it to be shipped to a service center to be checked and repaired or replaced I suppose. I have really liked this drill. Hope all ends well

Great, Powerful Tool. Solid Metal Chuck Collar
Rating: 5
I've had this hammer drill for just about a month. I'm not a construction worker who uses this every day, but I'm a facility manager who uses is occasionally. I didn't want the regular drill/driver, because I do need to occasionally drill into concrete. I needed the hammer drill. I looked online, and also went into the store to look at them in person. I advise you to know what you want, because there are a few models of Dewalt hammer drill. I saw some that had a plastic chuck collar, and just looked and felt cheaper. I saw this one with the metal chuck collar. It's a much more solid tool, and even feels more solid in your hand. Sure, it's a little heavier, but if you're using the hammer drill function, that's what you want. After all, if you didn't need a hammer drill, you would just get a regular drill/driver. I wouldn't trust that plastic chuck collar to hold up well in the hammer function, which is why I specifically got this model with metal chuck. It took some more work to find this one and order it, but it was worth it. I've used it to drill concrete, and for regular drilling. If you're working overhead, yeah it's a bit heavy, but I'll take that trade-off to have a solid tool that will last. One last word; I didn't think I would need the Tool Connect feature, but I do manage two different properties, and it has come in handy to be able to track the tool.

Will Always use Dewalt
Rating: 5
I have had this drill going on three years now and it is still going strong. I work in construction an often need to go hammer drilling to hand equipment in places that can be difficult to reach with a corded drill. This drill has never let me down. The power and drive this drill delivers often outlasts and outperforms other brands. My friends who use Milwaukee offer come burrow my Dewalt when they need the job done and their drill won't cut it. About a year ago I lent my drill to someone who misused it. The damaged the chuck prints badly and it no longer was able to sustain its grip on any bits. I took it to a Dewalt service center in Carrollton, TX with my receipt and they took care of the repair for free under warranty. Staff were friendly, respectful, understanding, and polite. They repaired the problem quickly and it has worked great since. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A Beast of a Drill
Rating: 5
Bought this drill about a year ago and have put it through its paces nearly daily. Everyday it does what I need and then some out preforming every other drill I have and all of my friends drills. Moment I first put a battery on it and let it go I knew I was in for a treat and I was right. Haven't found a single thing it struggles with. And thanks to the Bluetooth I'm not worried at all about it going missing. Wish I had more tools as reliable as it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love my 20v Dewalt cordless drill
Rating: 5
It has held up very well and the 20v lithium ion batteries are light and powerful. The drill clutch is still going strong after months of use drilling plate steel, sheet metal, plastics and lots and lots of wood. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Drill!
Rating: 5
I have owned this drill for about 8 months now. I have absolutely no complaints, although I will say if you plan to do some serious work with this, pick up a few 5 or 6 amp hour batteries. This drill chews through the batteries provided in the kit pretty quick. I have found this tool capable of doing everything I've put it through. I'm not a contractor of any sort, but I'm an avid DIYer and handyman-on-the-side, so this tool has seen some serious use. Haven't found anything it can't drill through quickly and efficiently when using the proper bit, and it's light enough even with a 5 amp hour battery attached that I don't get fatigued. The built in LED lights are great, they adequately light up the project and I've rarely found that my hand or the workpiece gets in the way. I have not used the Toolconnect feature, but if it performs like the rest of this drill, I have no doubt it would also exceed my expectations. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

great light
Rating: 5
I bought this drill a little over 2 years ago befor I started college. In that 2 years between job sites at school and summer work, its been worked real hard, droped dozens of times, been rained on and so on, and the drill still works just like new. I've used this drill from rough framing to boring holes in the cabinet shop and if I could do it again I would buy this drill. takes a beating, isn't too heavy, plenty of power and the battery is the best I've ever had. Battery failure - a second time
Rating: 3
I bought this drill last week but had to return the first one since one of the batteries refused to charge. My second one had the same issue. I kept this one on the assumption dewalt would call me and make it right. I have emailed, waited on hold, and now writing this review. Perhaps someone, just one, will call or email me And allow me to exchange the battery and make this right.
