The Right Tool for the Right Job
Rating: 5
I needed to drill into a garage cement slab to anchor down 5/8" plywood for new flooring in a pantry / utility room. With a 5/32 " SDS drill bit attached to the DH22PG, it cut through the concrete like it was soft pine. And the 3/16" Tapcons threaded into the holes perfectly. It's a great tool at a great price. I hope it performs the same in future projects requiring larger drill bits for securing heavier anchors into concrete.

Pleasantly Suprised!
Rating: 4
I bought this hammer drill about a year after selling my bosch sds max drill that i had. I wasn't expecting to be wow'd by its performance, but after using it to drill all my wall plates in my basement i was suprised at the durability of the drill and how hard it hits. I would definitely buy another hitachi product after using this drill, and expect to be using this one for many years to come. As a heavy user of milwaukee and bosch power tools, my mind is beginning to veer in the direction of hitachi.

Wish I'd bought it long ago!
Rating: 4
Used it on poured concrete floor & it was fantastic. The only reason I did not assign 5 stars is because I've been unable to find the drill bit attachment.

Electricians Savior
Rating: 5
As an electrician I am always in need of a box chipped in a block wall or need to chip a corner off the end of a wall to wrap EMT/Romex etc. and this thing does it with ease. Drilling is easy and quick.

Make pilot holes for t-posts
Rating: 5
With a 15" long 7/8 bit you can drill a pilot hole in Texas Hill Country limestone big enough to then hammer in a t-post. Light enough to carry anywhere you can carry a t-post and driver. Worth its weight in swear words.
