I bought this drill, batteries, and charger specifically for the batteries. To purchase a single 18 volt battery at the orange big box store would of cost me over $45.00. I have a number of the black and decker 18 volt tools and getting batteries is expensive, so this is an excellent way to get new batteries for Black and Decker 18 volt tools. Oh, and the drill is good too. With a 18 volt battery the drill is heavy. But it has good power with a wide number of adjustments for different screws and drill bits. The adjustments regulate the clutch in the drill to prevent over tightening of screws. The drill chuck will hold any drill bit or screw driver bit up to 3/8″ shaft size. Like most wood workers say, ” you can never have to many drills.” This drill will complement my lithium ion black and decker drill. Charging time is about 4 – 6 hours. I wish the company would offer this same deal, but with different tools, such as a circular or sabre saw. Also excellent shipping time with Wal-mart.

Believe it or not I purchased this drill with the battery in 2010, dated on the bottom of the drill (remove battery) I use it just about every weekend and it still has the same battery, might have lost a little run time (remember to remove batteries on all cordless tool when not in use) getting my taxes back and purchasing another one, BUY IT.
